The stacking kit for the Smart Gas range of gas pizza ovens lets you stack two Smart Gas ovens one on top of the other — doubling the baking capacity without increasing the floor footprint. For a pizzeria running at full capacity that cannot enlarge its kitchen area, the stacking kit is the most efficient solution to increase throughput: you go from X pizzas per batch to 2X in the same space, with two independent baking chambers that can be set to different temperatures depending on service needs.
Double the capacity without doubling the space
The floor footprint of a Smart Gas pizza oven is significant — each oven occupies a surface that can represent 30-50% of a worktop. Placing two ovens side by side doubles the floor space used and can make some kitchens unworkable for lack of room. The stacking kit solves this: the two ovens stack vertically on the same footprint, with a total height that stays within the limits of most professional kitchens (under 200 cm).
Each oven keeps its operating independence: separately adjustable temperatures, independent doors, non-communicating baking chambers. So you can bake classic pizzas at the bottom at 280°C and preheat bases at the top at 200°C, or run both chambers at the same temperature for maximum capacity. This independence is particularly useful for pizzerias offering several pizza types with different baking times and temperatures.
The kit includes the linking structure between the two ovens and the flue channelling system so that both combustion chambers connect to a single exhaust outlet. The Smart Gas flue mounts on the top oven, and the lower oven's fumes are channelled to the same outlet by the kit. The kit weight (25 kg) adds to the weight of the top oven — the assembly must be installed by two people on a stable, level surface.
Which establishment
The stacking kit is the investment for high-throughput pizzerias in a space-limited kitchen. A pizzeria running 150 pizzas per service with a single oven and starting to fall behind at the bake — the kit doubles the capacity instead of buying a second complete oven. An establishment anticipating a seasonal increase (summer, events) that wants a capacity reserve without changing the permanent kitchen layout.

What restaurant owners ask
- Does the stacking kit require a reinforcing structure under the bottom oven?
- The bottom Smart Gas oven must be placed on a flat, level surface solid enough to support the weight of the top oven + the kit. The standard stainless worktop of a professional kitchen (1.2 mm thickness minimum, with reinforcement) is generally sufficient, but check the permissible load with your installer before setting up. If the oven sits on a support or unit not designed for this load, reinforcement may be necessary.
- Can a third oven be added by stacking with two kits?
- No — the Smart Gas stacking kit is designed for a maximum of 2 stacked ovens. A third oven on top would create an unreachable height for the operator (top oven door out of reach) and a structural overload on the two lower ovens. For a capacity exceeding 2 chambers, the solution is to install two stacks of 2 ovens side by side, or move up to a higher-capacity oven.
