The MASTER 2-level 2×4-pizza pizza oven is the first two-level model in the MASTER range: elements cast in the refractory stone on each chamber, two independent levels, 13.2 kW 3-phase. In the same footprint as a single-level MASTER4 (1100 × 1000 mm), it doubles output while keeping MASTER quality on every batch — absolute thermal uniformity over the 4 pizzas of each chamber, whatever their position.
Two independent thermostats: two pizza styles at once
What sets the MASTER44 apart from conventional 2-level ovens (XLP44, XLP44TR) is that each chamber has its own sole with elements integrated into the stone. Both soles of the MASTER44 are MASTER soles — not conventional refractory soles with elements laid on them. Each pizza placed on either sole receives exactly the same heat from centre to corners. Across 4 pizzas per chamber, all 4 positions are equivalent: no pizza is favoured by its proximity to an element.
The two levels run with independent thermostats — and this is where the MASTER44 shines for a varied menu. The lower level can be set to 420°C for an express Neapolitan (90 seconds) while the upper level bakes a thicker-dough pizza at 360°C (5 minutes). A Neapolitan and a Roman pizza, two doughs, two temperatures, baked side by side with no compromise on either. Combined with MASTER uniformity in each chamber, a single pizzaiolo produces two pizza styles at once at peak quality.
For which establishment
The MASTER44 is the format for pizzerias that want to double their output without leaving MASTER quality — and which cannot or will not move up to the 6 or 9-pizza format. It is the choice of fast-growing pizzerias of 50 to 80 covers that started with a MASTER4 and need more volume without changing quality tier. It is also the oven for quality restaurants offering several pizza types (Neapolitan and Roman, for example) in parallel, thanks to the two independent chambers.

What restaurateurs ask
- Can I really run a Neapolitan and a Roman pizza at the same time?
- Yes — that is the MASTER44's strong suit. Each level has its own thermostat. Set the lower to 420-450°C for thin Neapolitan in 90 seconds, the upper to 330-360°C for a Roman or thick-base pizza in 5 minutes. The two chambers are thermally isolated, so each style bakes to its own profile with no interference. It is the operational flexibility a single large chamber cannot offer.
- Can the MASTER44 run with only one level?
- Yes. Each level is independent. For quiet services, you can switch on just one level and save about half the electrical consumption. The off level cools gradually (the stone holds its heat 1 to 2 hours after switch-off), then can be relit for evening service in 30 to 40 minutes of preheating.
- Is the MASTER44 harder to install than conventional ovens?
- No — installation is identical to any 3-phase 400V oven. A 3-phase cable with a dedicated 3×20 A breaker is needed (13.2 kW total). The MASTER44 needs no gas connection or special ventilation beyond the standard extraction hood for pizza ovens. Plan a floor able to bear the weight and a hood covering the oven's 1100 mm width.
- Is there a risk of overheating if both levels run hot at the same time?
- No. The MASTER44 is designed for simultaneous operation of both levels at full power (13.2 kW total). The thermostats regulate each chamber independently: once the target temperature is reached, the elements of the level concerned reduce their power by thermal cycling. Two levels at 460°C each is the normal operating configuration of the MASTER44.
