⚠ Three-phase 400V required: this Diamante 70 2-plate square electric cooker needs a three-phase 400V supply. Check your installation before ordering.

The Diamante 70 2-plate square electric cooker is the square-plate model of the premium Diamante 70 range — 5.2kW across 2 square plates on three-phase 400V, in the ultra-flat 250mm Diamante 70 profile. At €2,290 excl. VAT, the square plates are the distinguishing feature: they offer more usable flat cooking surface than round plates, for large or flat-bottomed cookware.

Square Plates vs Round: Why the €490 Difference

Compared with the round-plate version (id1431, €1,800), the square plates use the full plate area as usable cooking surface — there are no "corners" lost as with a round plate set in a square space. That means more contact area for large pots, flat-bottomed pans and rectangular cookware, and a continuous heated surface across the plate. The €490 difference buys that extra usable surface and the square-plate finish.

Who Is the Diamante 70 2-Plate Square For?

  • Kitchen needing maximum flat cooking surface per plate — large pots, flat pans, rectangular cookware
  • Premium Diamante 70 line, wired for three-phase — the square-plate finish on the 730mm profile
  • Steady electric cooking with large cookware — holding, simmering, boiling on a continuous heated surface

Solid Electric Plates: Steady, Controllable Heat

A solid electric plate stores and radiates even heat across its whole surface. That makes it ideal for boiling, simmering, holding and any cooking done in flat-bottomed cookware — the heat is stable and there is no open flame. An electric plate responds more slowly than a gas burner (it takes time to heat and to cool), which is the trade-off for steady, flame-free heat: set the level and it holds it. For a kitchen without a gas supply, or where an open flame is unwanted, electric is the right choice.

Power Supply: Check Before Ordering

Electrical supply is the key point to verify. Single-phase (230V) models plug into a standard socket with no special installation. Three-phase (400V) models deliver more power but require a dedicated 400V supply — check your panel before ordering, or choose a single-phase model. The exact requirement is given in the specifications below; our team can advise if you are unsure.

Table-Top Installation

This is a table-top (countertop) appliance. It sits on a worktop or heat-resistant surface and is not designed to be built in or stacked under another appliance. It needs no gas connection and no combustion ventilation, though the heat it radiates still calls for a normally ventilated kitchen.

Stainless Steel, Cleaning and HACCP

The cooker is built in food-grade stainless steel. Let the plates cool, then wipe them and the body with a damp cloth and a food-safe product; avoid flooding the plates with water. Smooth stainless surfaces wipe clean and slot straight into your HACCP cleaning plan.
