The Hot Pizza Press Ø450 is the large-format model of the heated-press range. It carries the hot-press technology (simultaneous pressure + heat, semi-cooked base in a few seconds) to a 45 cm diameter — covering family pizza formats, large sharing pizzas and bases for collective catering. At €7,920, i.e. €1,320 more than the Ø330 model (€6,600), the Ø450 targets operators who need the large format in industrial production: dark kitchens, production hubs, high-volume collective catering.

45 cm in a heated press: large-format intensive production

The Ø450 mm changes the range of products covered compared with the Ø330. A Ø330 is limited to individual pizzas (30-33 cm) — impossible to form a 40-45 cm pizza on that model. The Ø450 covers both the individual format (under-using the diameter) and the large format up to 45 cm, which makes it the versatile model of the hot range. For a production hub that supplies both classic pizzeria restaurants (30-33 cm formats) and buffet/collective-catering formulas (40-45 cm formats), the Ø450 lets you work with a single machine.

The 6.10 kW power (vs 4.75 kW for the Ø330) is sized for the larger format: the 45 cm heated platens have a surface 85% larger than those of the Ø330, which demands more power to keep the working temperature uniform over the whole surface. On 3-phase 400 V, this power is distributed over the three phases for stable operation even on long production sessions (5-6 consecutive hours). The temperature consistency over the whole platen surface is the key factor for a homogeneous semi-cooked base — a colder zone produces an under-cooked base that deforms during topping.

The machine weighs 172 kg — a fixed installation in the kitchen, not movable. It requires a dedicated 3-phase 400 V line with a 10 A per phase breaker minimum. The footprint (650×750×830 mm) is significant — to be planned in the kitchen layout before purchase, with accessibility for platen cleaning in particular.

Which establishment

The Ø450 hot press is the model for production hubs and dark kitchens with intensive production working pizza formats beyond the individual size. A hub producing frozen pizzas for distribution — the large format (45 cm) and the industrial cadence of the heated press are the two requirements of this type of production. A 3-phase event caterer assembling pizzas in series for buffets of 200-300 people — the Ø450 lets you form the bases needed for a whole buffet in an hour.

If your pizza format is 33 cm or less, the Ø330 model (€6,600, -€1,320) is sufficient. If you need the maximum diameter (50 cm), the Ø500 model (€9,240, +€1,320) is the step above. If your production does not justify the investment of a hot press, the cold 2R Ø400 (€1,440) is the artisan reference for large formats.

What restaurant owners ask

Can the Ø450 hot press form rectangular bases for al taglio pizza?
The hot press presses and heats in a disc shape — the platens are round (Ø450). It does not form rectangular bases. For industrial al taglio pizza (rectangular bases), there are specialised production lines. The Ø450 hot press is suited to round pizzas, even in large format. If you are looking to mechanise rectangular al taglio pizza, write to us to discuss the equipment suited to that specific process.
What is the real hourly production cycle of the Ø450 hot press?
The cycle depends on platen temperature, the desired base thickness and the operator response time. In optimised production (dedicated operator, dough balls pre-balled next to the machine), the cycle can drop to 10-15 seconds per base, i.e. 240-360 bases per hour. In normal production with the usual interruptions (replenishing dough balls, occasional platen cleaning), expect rather 150-200 bases per hour over a continuous session. Compared with the 100-200 bases per hour of a 2R cold roller — the hot press advantage on raw cadence is real but less spectacular than imagined.
