When an Asian restaurant grows, the first sign of strain is at the wok post: a single cook no longer keeps up with the pace, service lengthens, customers wait. The D75/10CGW28 settles the problem by adding a second 14 kW burner on the same Diamante 70 line: two wok posts side by side, two chefs at once, 28 kW of gas power total over 1 metre of worktop.
For which establishment, for which pace?
- High-throughput Asian restaurant — 100 covers and up: as soon as the menu has several stir-fry dishes and lunch service exceeds 80 covers, a single wok post creates a bottleneck. Two burners let two cooks work in parallel, each on their wok, and absorb the rush with no delay.
- Organised Asian brigade kitchen: the second burner is not always for a second chef. It also lets a single cook run two woks alternately — one heating, the other in service — to keep a steady pace without waiting for the temperature to come back up.
- High-volume Asian caterer: preparing 500 to 1,000 portions ahead for delivery, buffets or weddings. Both burners run continuously during production, each assigned to a dish type.
- Catering kitchen with a daily Asian dish: company or school restaurant with 200 to 400 covers/day including a wok stir-fry. The double station absorbs production with no blockage during the critical 45 minutes of service.
This post weighs 77 kg and installs in a definitive position. The gas connection and high-power hood must be planned before the equipment arrives. No quick relocation is possible once installed.

The switching threshold is generally around 80 to 100 covers per service including stir-fry dishes. Below that, the 1-burner D73 is enough. Above, the extra €1,682 excl. VAT pays back quickly through reduced service time and the elimination of kitchen bottlenecks.
What restaurateurs ask
- Can a single burner be used on the D75 during quiet services?
- Yes. Each burner on the D75 is controlled independently. During a quiet service, one burner runs; in the rush, both light at once. This flexibility is one of the concrete advantages of the double station: gas consumption adapts to the real service load.
- Are two separate hoods needed for two wok burners side by side?
- No. A single hood sized to the station width (minimum 1,200 mm wide recommended for a 1,000 mm post) is enough. The hood must be sized to absorb the combined output of both burners at full power — i.e. 28 kW. Have it quoted by your ventilation installer before ordering.
- Does gas consumption really double versus the 1 burner?
- With both burners in simultaneous use, yes: 28 kW uses about twice as much as a 14 kW burner. But in practice, both burners never run at 100% continuously. Real consumption depends on your service/production mix. The return-on-investment calculation must include the extra revenue generated by the higher pace.
- Is this model compatible with an existing Diamante 70 line if you already have a D73?
- Yes. The Diamante 70 range is designed to be modular and combinable. The D75 can install as an extension of an existing line including a D73, an oven or other Diamante 70 elements. Depth alignment (730 mm) and worktop height (870 mm with standard legs) are guaranteed across the range.
