Two simultaneous induction cooking zones on a single appliance, 6 kW combined, in continuous service: that is what the PID30 brings to a professional brigade. Where a second chef poses a problem of space or an extra electrical circuit, the PID30 solves it in a single 590×380 mm unit, on single-phase 230V. The Intense range guarantees both zones hold the pace of a full service with no thermal safety cut-out.
For which establishment, for which kitchen organisation?
- Restaurant with a 2-cook induction brigade: two induction cooking posts side by side without multiplying appliances or circuits. The PID30 centralises both zones on a single unit with a dedicated control per zone.
- Simultaneous sauce + side post: a single chef running two preparations in parallel — a reduction on the left zone, a risotto on the right. Independent regulation per zone avoids thermal interference between the two cooks.
- High-standard hotel and banqueting: two simultaneous services during banquets, with the Intense range's reliability that does not give way at the end of a long service.
- Dual-production catering kitchen: preparing two distinct daily dishes at once to diversify the offer without doubling the equipment. Both PID30 zones run fully independently.
The PID30 replaces two separate PIS30 units in most cases: less bulky, a single power cord, a single unit to maintain. Where two PIS30 would require two distinct 16 A 230V circuits each, the PID30 can run on a single suitable circuit — check your installation capacity before ordering.

What restaurateurs ask
- Can both PID30 zones be used at once at full power?
- Yes. The two zones are independent and can run at once at full power (3 kW each, 6 kW total). The Intense range is precisely designed for this permanent use. Check your supply circuit can handle 6 kW continuous before installation.
- Is it better to buy 2 PIS30 hobs or 1 PID30?
- The PID30 is generally preferable: a single unit to manage, a single power cord, less worktop clutter, and a lower price than two separate PIS30 (€1,850 vs €1,980). The only advantage of two separate PIS30 is positioning flexibility — you can place them in two different spots in the kitchen.
- Can each zone run at radically different temperatures at once?
- Yes. Each zone has its own independent control — one can be at 80°C for a béchamel while the other is at 200°C for a sear. It is one of induction's key advantages over gas, where heat radiates sideways and can affect the adjacent post.
- Does this model run without three-phase 400V?
- Yes. The PID30 runs on standard single-phase 230V, which is rare for a 6 kW appliance. This avoids three-phase installation works while offering the combined power of two posts. The circuit must, however, be sized for 6 kW continuous — a breaker of at least 32 A is advised.
