The 11-roller hot dog grill is the emblematic equipment of high-throughput hot-dog stands: 11 heated cylindrical rollers that cook and hold sausages at the right temperature continuously, with an attractive display effect that prompts purchase from the street or from a stadium entrance. In continuous service, it can hold up to 20 sausages ready to serve and produce up to 96 hot dogs an hour.

For which establishment, for which event?

  • Kiosk and street snack: the hot dog grill is the reference equipment of street hot-dog stands. Set on a counter or built into a glazed kiosk, it catches the eye from a distance and constantly displays available sausages — a signal to order.
  • Stadium, sports hall and mass event: at half-time or breaks, an 11-roller hot dog post can serve 96 hot dogs an hour without interruption. It is the pace needed to absorb a sudden crowd of 50 to 100 people in 15 minutes.
  • Market and fair: light, table-mountable and powered on standard 230V, the hot dog grill accompanies market stands and trade fairs. The visual display of golden sausages on the rollers is a universal call to buy.
  • Fast food and sandwich shop with a hot-dog menu: adding the hot dog grill to an existing fast food (kebab, burger, snack) adds a fast, visual offer with no disruption to the production flow. Permanent hot-holding avoids waste and waiting times.

What restaurateurs ask

Can the hot dog grill be left on all day unattended?
Yes. The professional hot dog grill is designed to run continuously through a full service. The thermostat regulates the roller temperature automatically. However, it is recommended to empty the appliance at the end of the day and clean it (grease tray, rollers) to maintain correct HACCP hygiene conditions and extend the equipment's life.
What types of sausage can be used in a hot dog grill?
All classic "hot dog" sausages (Strasbourg sausages, knacks, Frankfurters, merguez) work on a roller. The sausages must be of a diameter compatible with the roller spacing (generally 1.5 to 2 cm diameter). Fresh, uncooked sausages can also be used if the thermostat is set to a temperature high enough to guarantee core cooking (75°C minimum).
How to clean a professional hot dog grill quickly between services?
Basic cleaning between services means emptying the grease collection tray and wiping the rollers with a heat-resistant damp cloth. A full clean at the end of the day (removing the rollers, cleaning with food degreaser) is recommended daily to maintain HACCP standards. The FRH11's chrome-plated stainless rollers make this cleaning easier.
What temperature for a golden but not dried-out sausage?
The optimal temperature for well-browned but juicy hot-dog sausages is between 130 and 160°C on the rollers, with a 15 to 20 minute rotation time for a precooked sausage. Below 120°C, the sausage heats without browning. Above 180°C, it dries out quickly. Adjust to the size and type of sausage used.
